The Gatehouse is situated just minutes from the centre of Ipswich, a town steeped in history, yet full of life. Take a stroll along its historic waterfront and streets or enjoy a vibrant mix of entertainment options ranging from theatre, cinema, clubs and bars.
The hotel provides an ideal base from which to explore the region’s various attractions. From here you can sample the delights of some of the prettiest Suffolk villages and countryside, glorious stretches of unspoilt coastline and numerous tourist attractions. From Sutton Hoo, the site of the world renowned Anglo-Saxon ship burial, to Framlingham Castle, the pretty river port of Orford and the beautiful medieval town of Lavenham there’s no shortage of things to see and do.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.

All children under 2 years are charged GBP 10.00 per night and person for cots.
All older children or adults are charged GBP 15.00 per night and person for extra beds.
